I was adopted by a very large Italian family Canini, and that along with my divine mother-in-law (la nonna Attilia), means that the Italian kitchen has consistently been a central part of my life.

In Antwerp Belgium, I ran a successful Italian catering and delicacies business for many years, which continues to thrive ( It made me want to go and learn even more about Italy’s regions and their unique culinary traditions. I want to share the most mouthwatering tales and collect and narrate my impressions of this incredible food culture.
Before I entered into the restaurant business, I was a researcher, working for SMIT (Studies in Media, Innovation and Technology) at ‘Vrije Universiteit Brussel’ and before that, I was a teacher and researcher at the University college Thomas More. My field of interest was journalism and communication.

My passions all come together; the urge to investigate combines with my love for Italy and its gastronomy. What is meant to be, will always find its way!
